The way we see
is affected by what
we know and what
we believe.
Our
Vision
A world in which human dignity, care, and safety are prioritized over punishment in policy and funding.
Our Mission
The Way We See was founded at the intersection of narrative change and criminal justice to reshape the perspectives of decision makers. We work in partnership with public defenders to represent individuals in pre-trial, trial, post conviction, or clemency applications to reshape perspectives of decision makers. We use the power of visual storytelling as an advocacy tool and uphold people as the experts and storytellers of their own lives.
“The way we see things is affected by what we know [and] what we believe.”
